Josh Bither, Anchorage Alaska Lawyer
Hailing from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Southwestern Virginia, Josh joined the army after graduating from high school in Suffolk, Virginia. As an infantryman, he completed a combat deployment to Iraq and served as a fire team leader. After returning home, Josh attended Old Dominion University, where he graduated Cum Laude and obtained a bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science. During his high school and undergraduate education, Josh spent time studying in South Korea, Nigeria and Estonia.
Josh graduated from Liberty University School of law, where he was a member of the Student Bar Association and Military Law Society. During law school, Josh completed numerous working internships, which included work in the Rockbridge County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office as well as on Capitol Hill for Congressman Ben Cline.
After law school, Josh relocated to Bethel, Alaska, where he served as an Assistant District Attorney and sexual assault prosecutor. Josh spent the two years trying complex, criminal cases and obtaining successful outcomes. Josh has substantial pretrial and trial litigation experience in cases ranging from DUIs to felony assaults, attempted murders, sexual assaults and sexual abuse of a minor charges. Josh also received training at the National Advocacy Center and several other training conferences.
Josh’s training and experience as a government attorney gave him a comprehensive perspective and understanding into how governmental investigations are conducted. Josh brought this training and experience to the firm in 2022, where his practice focuses on criminal defense, family law, personal injury, and other civil matters.
When he is not in the office, Josh enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and two Labrador Retrievers. Josh also enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and snowboarding.
